Five.

I'm a little late, but I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Here's a little peak into my day with the family.

 My cousins Keelan and Oscar.

Time with the Beavers is always enjoyable.
There's always way too much food and never enough time to catch up with everyone.
Happy late Thanksgiving everyone!

Four.

Went home this weekend and it was very much needed.
Spent most of it editing some newer photos of mine.

Here's a few for you guys:

Three.

Thanks to FLICKR I've been able to discover many inspiring and talented photographers to introduce to you.
So here's a list of a few photographers I enjoy:
(In no particular order)

Lidia is a mom and a wife. Juggling those duties along with being a photographer is inspiring itself.
She's an amazing portrait photographer, especially when it comes to baby portraits. Another aspect of her art that I appreciate is her fine tuning of editing. Clearly you can tell Lidia edits, but she never over-edits. A fine line too easily crossed in this digital-media world today.
Here are a few examples of her work and a link to her Flickr:

Next I want to introduce you guys to a breath-taking photographer and person friend of mine, Whitten. He's a young photographer who's only been doing photography for a few years, but by the looks of his work you'd never know that! Whitten is fantastic at getting just the right lighting and always coming up with insanely creative ideas!
Below are a few of my favorites of Whitten's and a link to his Flickr

Another personal friend of mine is Anna. Anna and I used to spend days out in the middle of no where shooting photos of each other. Thankfully we've both been blessed enough to get better as time grew on. Anna has turned into a fantastic portrait photographer. Many of the models she uses are hometown friends of hers. Another talent of Anna's is her ability to think a photoshoot all the way through. By the time she has the camera ready she already knows what the hair and make are going to look like, what type of model she needs, where she's going to shoot the photos, what the model is going to where, how she wants the model to pose, everything. Anna thinks every detail through and because of that she always gets her money shot.

Last, but certainly not least is Adam Elmakias. He is a band photographer who captures
once-in-a-lifetime shots. These bands are so lucky to have him around. His photography is pure, raw art. I could look at his photos all day long. I'm a huge fan of band photography. It's something about the connection between the two artists, photographer and musician. I know you'll enjoy Adam's work.

I hope you guys have enjoyed my blog.
If you know of a photographer you'd like
for me to feature in my next photography
blog just leave a comment with a link
to some of their work!

Much love, xoxo

Two.

Day two of my first blog, and sorry to say folks it's already getting boring.

Today has certainly been uneventful..

I'm currently
letting the color
in my hair process
and watching my
roommate scream at
her computer for a
project she's working on.
HILARIOUS. (see below)

So folks, this is my typical day.  Tomorrow I promise to be more interesting.
I'm going to do a blog on my personal favorite amateur photographers.
I'll give you guys details and links to their work.
See you on another day.

Au revoir!

One.

Today is my first blog:

My day
  • Woke up to a rain-filled day.
  • Met an old friend for lunch at Volta (fantastic Greek restaurant)
  • Memorized lines of Samuel Beckett's "Waiting for Godot" (I hate this play. I'm not a big fan of existentialism, but I get extra credit in my Romanticism Literature class.)
  • Remembered I had to write a paper for my lit class so I decided to start this blog instead.
So far so good I'd say.
On with something more interesting.
